After a Reddit user wrote that Schwarzenegger nearly broke his fingers while learning the shotgun flip, Arnold commented on the post and disclosed the actual truth. He stated that the team handed him gloves to practice because, without them, there was a chance that he would break his fingers. However, due to discomfort and the shotgun getting stuck in the leather, Schwarzenegger was forced to practice with his bare hand.

“The first day I started with 5 reps, then 10 the next day, 15 the next day, and on and on, toughening the skin on my fingers, so by the time I got to set and it was time to shoot the scene, there was no more bleeding, and I could do as many reps as I needed to,” Arnold Schwarzenegger explained.
